Homeschooling is not for the insane nor the weak-hearted. This blog is a reminder to self that I am neither and that I need constant reminding.

Peanut Butter and Jelly
Less than one minute preparation. The kids love it. Fun, nutritious (especially on wholemeal bread) and filling. Just nice for breakfasts, second breakfasts or afternoon snacks. Fits conveniently into a tupperware. Perfect for hectic days on the go.
"Homeschooling by Maria" is literally homeschooling by Maria. I am not a scholar in homeschooling, neither am I an expert in homeschooling nor an alien who has been sent here to make other mothers feel inadequate. I am very much like any other parent who constantly worries and plans for the future of their children.
I believe that parenting is a personal journey as every parent and each of their children are unique and special. But I also believe all that is unique and special should be shared with others. Who knows? We may have something in common.
This is the journey that I am charting, that is uniquely ours, but if someone finds solace in some of the education we stumble on, it is our pleasure to share it with you. If you already are an ardent homeschooler, trust me, you are one of those parents who have inspired me.
This is our humble homeschool, one that is challenging on good days, and pure havoc on challenging days. Alhamdulillah, above all, it is one homeschool where every day is full of blessings.
If you are homeschooling, you are probably one of those who inspired me to do the same. If you are considering homeschooling, know that it is one of the most amazing journeys you will ever take, one day at a time.
